Mos Def, the Brooklyn bred, established hip-hop artist, actor, and poet, is performing at the House of Blues on Tuesday, Aug 5th 2008 along with New Orleans underground M.C. Truth Universal.  DJ Spin will be mixin in the booth for the event.  Doors will open at 7:00 PM.  Tickets are going for $40 at Ticketmaster.

This August will mark the third anniversary of Hurricane Katrina and though the city is blossoming, there is still much left to rebuild.  This national fundraising effort will be touring from city to city and gives you a chance to become involved while also winning some amazing prizes at the same time.  So check out the website to find out how to donate and if the festivities are near you.  Thank you to all that has helped rebuild The Big Easy back to it’s culturally historic form!

BBC will release our second NYC Flagship store exclusive T-shirt along with many other new items this upcoming Wednesday July 30th at 11AM.  Two random t-shirts will include a certificate for TWO FREE TICKETS to the GLOW IN THE DARK TOUR @ Madison Square Garden Aug 5/6 inside their bags.  These shirts are hot so act fast and keep an eye out for tour dates.

Speaking of Boutiques…Traffic boutique will have their official grand opening this Sunday July 27, 2008 at the Loft venue in Dallas, Texas.  The event will start off with a fashion show and into a concert where New Orleans native Curren$y is supposed to be bringing the house down along with a couple of local artists.  Team Traffic opened months ago in New Orleans and was the first streetwear boutique in the N.O.  Props to them for introducing a unique style to the dirty south.  Hit em up on the space, www.myspace.com/trafficboutique.
